A committee from the Chemical, Biological and Radiological Safety and Security Department at the Directorate of Research and Development at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research visited Al-Manara University on Monday, December 16, 2024, with the aim of following up on the implementation of safety and security procedures in the university’s laboratories and chemical, biological and radiological materials stores.

The visit aimed to verify the extent of compliance with the controls and instructions related to the safety of workers and students, and to ensure the provision of a safe environment within the laboratories. The visit also included conducting an accurate inventory of the chemicals used, to ensure that they are stored and handled in accordance with the approved standards.

The committee stressed the importance of continuing to adhere to safety procedures and developing work mechanisms to ensure the protection of educational staff and students, while adhering to the application of the highest safety standards in all university facilities.
