As part of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s interest in combating drugs, Al-Manara University received the follow-up committee for the activities of universities and colleges within the Iraqi Anti-Drug Week.

During its visit, the committee stressed the importance of combining academic and community efforts to confront this phenomenon, praising the role of the university in organizing awareness events, including a scientific symposium entitled: The Dangers of Drug Abuse and Means of Prevention, which witnessed wide participation from academics and students.

These efforts come within the ministry’s strategy to enhance the role of universities in spreading community awareness, and Al-Manara University affirms its continued commitment to supporting national initiatives to achieve sustainable development and protect society.
