Policy Statement
Al-Manara College for Medical Sciences is committed to providing a safe, healthy, and comfortable environment for all students, faculty, staff, and visitors. As part of our commitment to health and well-being, the College enforces a smoke-free policy across all campus facilities and grounds.

Designated Areas
The college campus is designated as a smoke-free zone, meaning that smoking is prohibited in all buildings, classrooms, offices, cafeterias, restrooms, labs, and outdoor areas. To accommodate smokers, designated smoking zones may be provided at specified locations away from main buildings and entrances.
Objectives
The smoke-free policy aims to:
- Protect individuals from exposure to secondhand smoke.
- Promote a culture of health and wellness.
- Reduce the environmental impact of tobacco products on campus grounds.
Enforcement
- Awareness: All members of the college community are responsible for adhering to the smoke-free policy and are encouraged to politely remind others of the policy when needed.
- Violations: Violations of this policy will be managed as follows:
- First Offense: Verbal warning and educational materials on the risks associated with smoking.
- Second Offense: Written warning and referral to cessation resources.
- Repeated Offenses: Further disciplinary actions, including fines or, in severe cases, restriction from campus facilities.
Support for Smoking Cessation
Al-Manara College offers support resources to aid individuals in their efforts to quit smoking, including access to counseling services, educational materials, and referrals to local health organizations specializing in tobacco cessation.
