Under the patronage of the President of Al-Manara University, Prof. Dr. Abdul Basit Mohsen Ayal, the Al-Manara Chess Championship was held on Wednesday morning, October 16, 2024, where the college teams competed with passion and creativity. In the final results, the College of Dentistry achieved first place, followed by the College of Pharmacy in second place, while the College of Health and Medical Technology team, Department of Anesthesia, came in third place.

After the distinguished performance of the teams, the arbitration committee selected four male and female players to represent the Al-Manara University team in the upcoming Iraqi Universities Championship to be held in Baghdad, based on the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
