On the morning of Tuesday, September 3, 2024, the first session of the University Council for the academic year 2024-2025 was held. The session was opened by the President of the University, Professor Dr. Abdul Basit Mohsen Ayal, in his capacity as Chairman of the Council, where he welcomed the honorable attendees, expressing his heartfelt wishes for success and guidance to the members of the University Council and its affiliates.
The meeting discussed a number of important items, the most prominent of which were:
Adoption of the agenda: Discussion and adoption of the meeting agenda, and approval of the proposed items.
Review of the examination system: Discussion and evaluation of the current examination system, in addition to approving the results of the second round of the first stages.
Nomination of the formation of the University Council: Review of the proposed names to form the new University Council.
Appointments of academics with higher degrees: Discussion of appointment requests submitted by holders of higher degrees (Master’s, Doctorate) in various colleges, and approval of their appointment according to the needs of the academic departments.
The necessary decisions and recommendations were taken for approval and implementation after extensive discussion by the Council members.
