Under the slogan “The water crisis in Iraq and ways of sustainable development”
under the supervision, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Nabil Kazem Abdel-Saheb, and under the supervision, Prof. Dr. Abdel-Basit Mohsen Eyal, President of Maysan University, and Prof. Dr. Faraj Muhammad Abdullah, Dean of Al-Manara College of Private Medical Sciences, Al-Manara College held the international scientific symposium entitled “Iraq’s Water Security and Water Wars,” which was held in cooperation with the Ministry of Water Resources, King’s University / London, and the American University / Baghdad, on Thursday, March 03, 2022 in the conference and symposium hall in the college building.
The scientific symposium included many topics, through which a number of lectures were presented, the most prominent of which were:
The first lecture: (Water Wars, Reality or Illusion?)
The second lecture: (Water Resources Management in Iraq)
The third lecture: (Strengthening international cooperation to face water security challenges, Iraq and the Netherlands as a model)
The Fourth lecture: (International regulation of water problems between Iraq and neighboring countries)
The Fifth lecture: (Assessment and management of groundwater resources in North Maysan)
The Sixth lecture: (The challenges of restoring the marshes in light of the water crisis)
It was attended by a number of faculty, specialists in the field of water, and some departments related to the subject.
