The University of Manara, represented by the respected Assistant to the President for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Salem Neama Saleh, participated in the conference dedicated to launching the standards and indicators of the Iraqi Ranking for Universities 2025, held at Al-Turath University on Wednesday, May 28, 2025.
The event was held under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and was attended by Prof. Dr. Haider Abdul Dahd, Deputy Minister for Scientific Research Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Salah Hadi Saleh Al-Fatlawi, Head of the Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Authority, along with a number of university presidents, college deans, and academic representatives.

This significant academic event comes as part of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s efforts to launch the fourth edition of the Iraqi Ranking for Universities 2025. The conference included discussions on the latest updates to global university ranking standards, which will be applied across all Iraqi universities, aiming to enhance the quality of higher education and motivate academic institutions to pursue excellence and improve their performance according to international standards.

Through its active participation in this important national initiative, the University of Manara reaffirms its commitment to supporting strategic efforts that contribute to the development of the educational system in Iraq and to strengthening the competitiveness of Iraqi universities on both regional and international levels.
