As part of its ongoing scientific activities and its continuous efforts to contribute to the development of the healthcare sector in Maysan Province, the College of Dentistry at the University of Manara, in collaboration with the Center for Continuing Education, organized a specialized training workshop titled:
“Medical Emergencies Management in Dental Clinics”,
under the patronage and supervision of the Dean of the College, Asst. Prof. Dr. Muhannad Jameel Najm.

The workshop was held over two days, from August 5 to 6, 2025, at the University’s Conference Hall, and was aimed at newly graduated dentists, with the goal of developing their scientific and practical skills and enhancing their preparedness to handle emergency situations that may arise during the provision of dental care.

The workshop included scientific and practical lectures delivered by Dr. Ammar Suleiman, focusing on the most common medical emergencies that dentists may encounter in clinical settings. The lectures provided a detailed explanation of the symptoms, causes, and proper management techniques, including appropriate first aid procedures, to ensure patient safety, control the situation effectively, and prevent further complications.
