As part of the field-based scientific activities organized by the College of Health and Medical Technologies at Al-Manara University, the Department of Dialysis conducted a scientific visit to the Dialysis Unit at Al-Hakim Hospital on Thursday, April 17, 2025.

The visit aimed to enhance students’ practical skills by allowing them to directly observe the work environment within dialysis units, gain insights into the modern equipment and technologies used in the field, and understand the procedures involved in patient care before and during dialysis sessions.

The hospital’s medical staff welcomed the students and provided a comprehensive explanation about the types of dialysis, as well as the roles of both the medical and technical teams in ensuring the safety and efficiency of the dialysis process. Students were also given the opportunity to ask questions and engage in discussions about clinical cases and the main challenges faced by professionals in this specialty.

At the end of the visit, the students expressed their gratitude to the hospital administration and the medical staff for their warm reception and valuable information, emphasizing that such visits greatly contribute to enriching their practical knowledge and bridging the gap between theoretical study and real-world application.
