Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Abdulbasit Mohsen Ayal, President of Al-Manara University, and the supervision of Professor Dr. Hussein Ghanem Muteilij, Dean of the College of Nursing, and with the participation of the Ministry of Interior / Community Police, the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Nursing organized a workshop titled “Awareness on the Risks of Cyber Extortion.”

The workshop was held on Monday, February 24, 2025, at 10:00 AM in the university’s conference hall and was presented by Assistant Lecturer Sarah Abbas Jabbar.

The session focused on defining cyber extortion, its types, causes, and preventive measures. It also witnessed significant engagement from attendees, who actively participated by asking questions. The lecturer addressed their inquiries with the involvement of representatives from the Community Police, who provided valuable insights into legal protection mechanisms and guided students to the directorate’s headquarters for support and assistance in cases of cyber extortion.
