In an important step to enhance academic and research cooperation in the field of environment, Al-Manara University, represented by its President, Prof. Dr. Abdul Basit Mohsen Ayal, signed a memorandum of understanding with Maysan Environment Directorate, represented by its Director, Dr. Basem Muhammad Habin.
The memorandum aims to enhance public health and address environmental challenges in Maysan Governorate, through implementing joint research projects, organizing training courses, and launching awareness campaigns aimed at raising environmental awareness among community members.
The memorandum also includes cooperation in the fields of environmental consulting, developing curricula to qualify students in the fields of sustainability, in addition to conducting field studies on issues such as water and air pollution, desertification, and waste management. Scientific conferences and seminars will also be organized to discuss environmental issues and support innovation in finding solutions to local problems.
Al-Manara University emphasizes the importance of this partnership in achieving the goals of sustainable development and a safe environment in Maysan, and promises to provide continuous academic and research support in this field.
