They held the first central symposium to support and empower women in Iraq , In celebration of International Women’s Day, And in solidarity with the program of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research pursued by the Women’s Empowerment Section, And under the slogan (Her success is my success), Under the blessed patronage of Prof. Dr. Faraj Muhammad Abdullah, Dean of Al-Manara College of Medical Sciences, The Women’s Empowerment Unit and the Division of Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation in the college held the cultural awareness symposium tagged “The First Central Symposium for Supporting and Empowering Women in Iraq” on Saturday, March 11, 2023 in the Seminars and Conferences Hall in the Deanship of the College. Which aims to be in solidarity with the activities of the global campaign to empower and support women

The activities presented in the symposium covered different topics, which were characterized by presentations of different success stories of Iraqi female creators and poets. The symposium included honoring the distinguished women in the college, in addition to the creators who presented their success stories. The program also included honoring children from the orphanage. After that, the program moved to the opening of the Scientific Innovations Exhibition and a charity market for handicrafts and literary publications. It is noteworthy that this activity will contribute to supporting community service in the service of our dear Iraq.
